Adults Learning Disability Club.
We support adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities by holding a weekly activity based community club. The idea for this came from a place of inclusivity and passion, we are aware that there is a lack of suitable opportunities within our community for adults with learning disabilities to come together, socialise and make new friends, all whilst enjoying fun activities. We actively encourage family members and carers to come along and join in.
Having previously worked within residential homes, in addition to providing 1-1 support to individuals with learning disabilities, we are aware of the need for a place for people to come together and connect. We hope that our club can bring inclusivity to the local community in a positive and fun way.
Classes are term time only for adults 18+ with physical and/or learning disabilities. We aim to provide a welcoming, safe and friendly environment for adults to come along and enjoy classes whilst trying out new experiences. We will be hosting a range of weekly activities to include: craft, music and dance, games, bingo, pottery and holistic therapies such as meditation, head massage and mindfulness. We encourage carers and family members to come along and join in the fun.
