Currently one in six children have a probable mental health condition according to statistics published by NHS Digital in July 2020. In modern society, 24 hour connectivity to social media, online gaming and the constant pressure to be virtually connected at all times means that children and young people struggle to switch off and live in the present moment. They feel pressure to achieve at school, to keep up with their peers, to be constantly occupied with activities and to live the 'perfect' life which can lead to unnecessary stress, worry and anxiety. With the additional worries and changes to society we are currently facing, children and young people are looking to us as adults to provide them with guidance and support, to help them navigate their emotions and to encourage their self confidence in this often difficult and fast paced world.

​Weekly Mindfulness Classes (Term Time Only)

We hold weekly mindfulness classes for children at Pennymoor Community Centre, Pennymoor Road, B77 4LG each academic term.


Classes are based around our 5 stages of:

🏃‍♀️ MOVE - We start our classes with simple movements to shake off the day.
🧠 MIND - We like to check in individually with each child to see how they are feeling.
👨‍🎨 MAKE - We like to involve all the children in a fun activity.
🗣️ MANTRA - We like to use positive affirmations & mantras.
🧘 MEDITATE - We like to finish class on a mini meditation or breathing exercise.


Classes are held as follows:

Tuesdays 4.30pm-5.15pm - Age range 5-8 years old.

Tuesdays 5.30pm-6.15pm - Age range 5-8 years old.

Wednesdays 5pm-5.45pm - Age range 9-12 years old.

Wednesdays 6pm-6.45pm - Age range 13-16 years old.


Advanced bookings only due to limited spaces.

Prices are £6 per session, full term payable in advance.

We offer a 20% discount for any additional siblings attending sessions the same term.
